“I sometimes forget that I was created for joy.” - Hafiz

Take time with a small group to step away from the busyness, return to your body, and remember the simple, beautiful act of being human. Breathe and feel into your own aliveness, open to deep connection with yourself and with others, and invite this remembering: we were created for joy.

Through movement, writing, and rest, we will explore what it means to meet ourselves with compassion, curiosity, and acceptance. This is a space to move with kindness, write with honesty, and be with yourself exactly as you are, becoming human in the most compassionate way.

Our time together will include:

  •  Movement: Renee will guide you through an explorative somatic movement practice that awakens the body’s natural intelligence. With slow, intuitive motion, you’ll release tension, settle your nervous system, and open space for creativity to flow from a place of ease rather than effort. No previous experience with yoga or this kind of movement required.

  • Writing: Jill will lead free-form writing practices that help you slip beneath the inner critic and into your honest, unpolished, deeply human voice. You’ll be invited to write without judgment, welcome whatever arises, and share your words in a supportive circle. Everyday we will circle up for this powerful, poignant writing practice. Beginners welcome! For more information about this kind of writing, please follow this link: The Practice .

  • Nourishing, tasty and lovingly prepared meals.

  • Open afternoons with many delicious options: naps, nature walks, reading, wild swimming in the pond, stitching with Jill, small group yoga or acrobatics with Renee. Num!

  • Opening and Closing Circles - Rituals to help you land, ground and return.

  • Maximum number of participants: 10 plus facilitators

Join us for 3 nights in the enchanting countryside of Northern Wales.

Renee, Movement and Yoga

Renee Jones will lead us through gentle, intuitive movement and help us remember that we are also bodies…bodies that breathe, feel, bleed, and bless. Renee invites us to come as we are —tired, curious, tender, or unsure. This is a space to move with kindness and be with yourself exactly as you are, becoming human in the most compassionate way. Join us with your open-hearted curiosity as, together, we sink deeper into our authentic, messy, and miraculous human selves. Jill, Wild Writing Guide

Wild Writing is one of the most grounding, healing, enriching, and connecting experiences I know. This practice is NOT about the writing. We are not trying to be good writers; we are trying to write our truth.

In Wild Writing we:

  • Write quickly and imperfectly, keeping pen to page, so we can listen deeply to ourselves.

  • Relax and listen to the creative muse that wants to move through us.

  • Drop in to our authentic selves and embrace – without judgment - what comes through our pens.

  • Hold ourselves and each other tenderly, and give thanks to each person after they have read.  The only feedback is a warm thank you.

We breathe, we listen to poetry, we listen to ourselves, we put pen to paper, we tell our truth, we read our writing, we witness others and say thank you, then we do it again.

I’m thrilled I get to share this practice with you, along with the heart opening somatic experience of yoga with Renee. For more information about me, please click here.
